Dear Readers,
I promised I would blog, but instead I have written a book called, “Enjoying Life Against all Odds, As a Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor.” What on earth did I do? Me, a simple person just trying to enjoy life. I stepped out of my comfort zone to write this book. Only GOD knows…why
In our book I shared my experiences, I humbled myself to you my avid reader. It is amazing that I finally completed something. I am not bragging in the least bit but all I know is it had to be from GOD, Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the Holy Spirit navigating my thoughts, emotions, and memories. I wake up some days just extremely exhausted, and struggle with fatigue. I get into my scriptures and know that my Heavenly Father “ABBA” is carrying me.
I look upon my life as a miracle. As I defecated my thought process upon paper, I had a WOW moment. Really, I went through all that? I know others are experiencing struggles, so I desire to spread hope and the gift of life-giving words to those who need it. Times like these can be discouraging, especially with this COV19. Restrictions in all aspects of our lives. Going to the doctor’s office seems out of the picture as do video calls instead of in-person. How can we take care of ourselves in the midst of all this chaos?
Today I am going to share about inflammation. Inflammation is a contributor to our memory loss.
4 Signs of Systemic Inflammation
As scientists begin to understand the body’s complex systems better, a clearer picture of how silent inflammation can impact your health is emerging.
Here are four of the most common symptoms:
- Brain Fog: Unfortunately, many people start to believe that scattered thoughts and poor concentration are an inevitable part of aging—but they are not! Inflammation can often be the culprit.
- Cognitive Impairment: When the brain is inflamed, memory formation and recall can both suffer. Research has shown a link between cognitive impairment and the presence of neurological inflammation.
- Aches and Pains: Silent inflammation creates heightened pain sensitivity in the body, as well as common everyday aches and pains in joints and muscles. If your body feels sore and stiff, systemic inflammation may be to blame.
- Mood Issues: While neurotransmitter imbalances may be the primary cause of mood issues, recent research suggests that these imbalances may be related to inflammation in the brain.
While your symptoms may be mere annoyances now, your heart and brain could be at serious risk over time.
