Sometimes we have the tools at home that help us live life the fullest. If not try the produce aisles. Here are just a few remedies that will bring relief:
To boost immunity. Garlic has immune-boosting properties. Minced or crushed one to three cloves and leave them exposed to the air for a few minutes. This boosts a sulfur compound called allicin, which acts like an antimicrobial to kill viruses and bacteria. Note: at the very end of cooking add garlic because heating destroys allicin.
Stomach Flu. Since we are coming upon flu season, we need to be proactive by adding this natural spice to meals. I believe in adding ginger to our meals is one of the best ways to fight off nausea, vomiting and eases your stomach cramps and bloating.
To reduce Inflammation.
Oregano is a source of antioxidants which help reduce inflammation and soothe your stomach.
Ginger aids digestion, is highly anti-inflammatory, and protects against cancer
Onion: Provides anti-inflammatory benefits and protects cells from oxidative stress. Helps lower risk of certain cancers
Apples: This antioxidant-rich fruit helps reduce inflammation and is linked to heart and lung health
Spinach: Rich in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, spinach protects against inflammation, oxidative stress, and cancer
Turmeric: This powerful detoxifier and anti-inflammatory cleanses the liver and helps prevent many types of cancer
